The Math Mania team is comprised of students in grades 1-5 that are selected by their teachers for their competency in mathematics. These students practice either during or after school for the annual Hall County Math Mania competition in the spring. Participants compete against same-grade students from other local schools by solving math computation and reasoning problems. Students continue in progressive rounds until all participants are eliminated by scoring a predetermined number of incorrect answers. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each grade level.
